San Diego - Days 1 & 2

I love San Diego – bike lanes everywhere. We’re here until April 6th, prepping for the ride & events as well as getting in some last minute training.

We did our first rides as a group today. This morning we rode to a senior citizens center a couple of towns up the coast for a talk and lunch. I was riding caboose and the back of the group got separated – we went about 5 miles out of the way – an auspicious start. It was a great ride though – along the Pacific Coast Highway.

After lunch we did some hill training, biking loops on a big hill along the coast.

We’re staying in the San Diego JCC for the week. They’ve been great to us – gotten all kinds of meals donated for us and given us a room to use for the week.
